👉Changing in Verb👈

👉Rule No. 2 :  If the Reporting Verb is in the past tense and the verb of the Reported Speech changes in the following way.[यदि Reporting Verb भूतकाल (past  tense ) में हो तथा Reported Speech की क्रिया को निन्मलिखित प्रकार से बदलते है। ] :-

Example :-

1️⃣ Direct  : : Rama said, "Meera cooks food."

        Indirect  : :  Radhe said that Meera cooked food.     

2️⃣ Direct  :  Govind said to Mohan, "Leela has written the letter."
       Indirect  :  Govind told Mohan that Leela had written the letter.

3️⃣ Direct  :  Sumit said to me, "Sohan helped him."
       Indirect  :  Sumit told me that Sohan had helped him.

4️⃣ Direct  :  He said to me, "Rekha had been playing for two hours."
       Indirect  :  He told me that Rekha had been playing for two hours.

👉Rule No. 3 : If the reporting verb is in the past tense, and (could, might, should, must) have been used in the verb of reported speech, then there is no change in these verbs.[यदि Reporting verb भूतकाल में है और Reported Speechकी क्रिया में Could, might, would, should, must का प्रयोग हुआ है तो इन क्रियाओ में कोई परिवर्तन नहीं होता है। ]

Example :-

1️⃣ Direct  : : They said, "Mohan must work hard."

        Indirect  : :  They said that Mohan must work hard.     

2️⃣ Direct  :  Pitam said, "Raj could help Shyam."
       Indirect  :  Pitam said that Raj could help Shyam.

👉Rule No. 4 : There is no change in the verb of the Reported part even if the reporting verb is in Past Tense if verb of reported speech indicates  :-

[reporting verb के Past Tense में होने पर भी Reported part की verb में कोई परिवर्तन नहीं होता है यदि  reported speech की क्रिया प्रकट करे  ] :-

•  Universal Truth
• Habitual Action
• Historical fact
• Proverb

Example :-

1️⃣ Direct  : : Ramesh said, "Dog barks at strangers."

        Indirect  : :  Ramesh said that dog barks at strangers.     

2️⃣ Direct  :  Raju said, "The earth moves round the sun."
       Indirect  :  Raju said that the earth moves round the Sun.
